MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER LEAD Child and Adolescent Wellness Class

Mental Health Practitioner Lead Sessions are HERE!

Participants in this class will have the opportunity to practice social skills, self-regulation, and self-esteem building while working with CIC therapy dogs in a series of fun dog training skills including agility and tricks!

This class is designed to include both small and large groups to facilitate opportunities for working with others, self-management, and celebrating accomplishments. Classes will follow a flexible and student informed framework that builds on participant strengths - this relational, trauma informed approach invites young people to practice their skills in a safe and trusting environment.

Classes are led by Megan Nagel, a former teacher and current school-based Mental Health Practitioner. Megan has her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has worked with children and adolescents for fifteen years in a variety of settings. This class is designed for a maximum of 8 students in 4th - 8th grade with a ratio of 2 students to 1 CIC therapy dog.
